Important Voting Information

As per the Oswego County Board of Elections Office:

Absentee Ballots are only available for those already registered in another county or state. They must be handed into your Residence Hall, Civic Engagement Office (Compass), The Elections Office (185 East Seneca St.), or at one of the Rock the Vote events by October 30th. After handing in the application, you will receive a ballot in the mail. This ballot needs to be postmarked by November 5th.

For new registrants (those who have not previously been registered to vote anywhere) – Registrations are due to the Oswego Count Board of Elections by October 12th.  These too can be handed into your Residence Hall, Civic Engagement Office (Compass), The Elections Office (185 East Seneca St.), or at one of the Rock the Vote events and will be delivered prior to that date.

For those who have registered previously, but have changed address (On campus address or otherwise) – Registrations must be postmarked by October 12th are due to the board of elections by October 17th. Again, they can be handed into your Residence Hall, Civic Engagement Office (Compass), The Elections Office (185 East Seneca St.), or at one of the Rock the Vote events and will be delivered prior to that date.

For Students living in Mackin Complex (Lonis or Mooreland Halls) – You will not be voting on the SUNY Oswego Campus, you will be voting at St. Josephs Catholic Church located at 240 West 1st Street.
